| -You must have a nicely created website with your OWN original artwork. No sites dedicated to
supposed ''Masters'' please. There are far too many of these already. If your site appears to be an online store, ezine,
or webring, it won't be accepted. The ACW is to link artists together, not provide free advertising for what you sell. If you sell your
artwork on your personal gallery site, this is fine if it's not the sole focus of the site. People that submit a page of prints for sale,
will probably be denied entry in to the ring. -If your site has pop-ups, it won't be accepted into the ring. These are just too annoying and intrusive. If you have banner ads, it will probably not be accepted either. -Your site must be cleanly laid out, easy to navitgate, with a fast load time and easy to find rings page. We understand that images of artwork take some time to load. This is not what we're talking about. You're front/cover page shouldn't take an hour to load, in other words, because of many animations, java or huge graphics. -When you submit to join, please put the code up ASAP. The code comes to everyone that submits to join in an email that is auto sent by ringsurf. If I check and it's not there, your site will be deleted. If you don't read the instructions, it's your own fault. -Do NOT link to the ACW banners. Download the one of your choice and put it on your own webspace. Adjust the ring code accordingly. -We do not accept website degisn sites, graphic design sites or anything like that. We want art GALLERIES. -People should be able to find the webring link easily. It doesn't have to appear on your front page, but should be easily found on a webrings or links page. Where ever you keep all your webrings. People surfing the ring need to be able to find the ring fragment easily so they can continue within the ring, unbroken. This also means no new browsers opening up when you try to continue within the ring. This breaks the ring. -Your site must not contain any offensive material. Nothing racist, no porn, no shrines to self, no hate topics, no macho or chauvunistic material at all, period. No poseur sites. -Fine, graphic, and digital art, photography, film, sculpting, carving, music, poetry, etc. Anything to do with art will most likely be accepted IF the guidelines are met. -We will not accept sites that are promotional plugs to whatever it is you're selling. Don't bother submitting those. (You wouldn't believe how many of these I get.. it's incredible.) -If your site is covered with banners and advertisements on every page, we will decline your membership. -The owner of the Artists' Coalition Worldwide webring reserves the right to deny any submission based on her own decisions/preferences at any time. -By joining, you are agreeing to keep the ring fragment on your site, working correctly as it was sent to you the whole while you are a member of the ring. If the ring owner finds (and she does check) that a site in the ring doesn't have the ring fragment anymore or has altered the ring fragment or that your site is not the same one you submitted when joining, or that your site is now a site for your own webring, your site will be promptly removed from the ring without notice. -If you have been denied entry into the ACW ring, don't keep resubmitting. Persistance will not get you in the ring. -Lastly, if you are denied, don't argue with the ring owner about it. There IS a good reason. You don't have to agree with it but you really should have read the criteria before submitting. If you think your site fits into this strict criteria, please continue to the submit form. |
